Dr. Ramesh Khatry, født i Nepal 1952 i en højkaste hindufamilie. Blev senere kristen og døbt 1972, trods modstand fra familien. Teologisk uddannelse i Indien, 1976-79. Ph.d. studier i Oxford, UK, 1986-91, støttet af DSM. Forfatter til en række teologiske bøger om NT (på nepalesisk). Også på anden måde har Dr. Ramesh Khatry haft stor betydning for teologisk kommunikation i Nepal, bl.a. som leder af Nepal Bible Ashram, 1981-86 og igen fra 1992, og som uddannelses-leder ved ATEN (Association of Theological Education in Nepal), der også omfatter et stort bibliotek. ATENs primære formål er at udvikle og stimulere teologisk uddannelse i landet. På familieplan er det siden lykkedes for Ramesh Kathry at blive forligt med sin hindu-familie, og de bor nu sammen i en typisk nepalesisk storfamilie. (Foto 2001). Danmission Photo Archive
